Congratulations to Haley Ubben Brocka as she received her Associates Degree from Hawkeye Community College on May 12, 2017.
BAPTISM
There will be a baptism on June 4th at Kelly & Lee Harken’s pond at 12 noon with a potluck following directly after the baptism. Please bring a side dish and a chair. Hot dogs, water, coffee and lemonade will be furnished. If the weather is unpleasant we will hold the potluck back at the church. There will be regular services held in the church at the normal time. There will be No community services in the park or community potluck.
VBS 2017
The VBS theme is “Fixer Upper”. The daily themes include: Sin ruins, but God restores, God can rebuild you if you turn to him, God changes us from the inside out, God's spirit keeps working on us, and God invites us to our forever home. VBS will be 4 days this year due to the teachers and school staff finishing up the school year on Monday. VBS will be a full four days from June 6-9. Please sign up your children with the grade they are entering next year. We will be asking for volunteers to help lead groups and make cookies. Thanks for your help in educating our youth and strengthening their faith in Jesus.
Graduation
Aplington-Parkersburg High School is having their commencement services May 21st at 1:00 p.m.
Baccalaureate
The Baccalaureate services for the high school seniors will be at the Congregation Church in Parkersburg at 7 p.m. on May 17, 2017.
Retirement Celebration
Please join us in honoring Janna Voss, Timothy Christian School principal and art teacher, at a retirement open house on Monday, May 29 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Timothy Christian School, 18000 D Avenue, west of Wellsburg. Butler County Disaster Recovery Sign -up Deadline:
There are many Butler County homeowners still recovering from the floods of last fall. We are teaming up with the Butler County Disaster Recovery by volunteering to help a homeowner with some work putting up drywall, hanging doors and possibly some trim work. All materials are furnished, we just need volunteers for 2 Saturdays in June- June 3rd and June 10th. Our Mission Committee is looking for volunteers to help on either of these mornings. Please sign up by May 15th so we can get tools and work organized. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the hallway. Thank you!
