Living Last Supper Performance

The Parkersburg Community will be presenting the ‘LIVING LAST SUPPER’ Iin early April. The origin of the script is from Elm Avenue Methodist Church, Portsmouth Virginia, by Ernest K. Emurian in 1954. It is based on the picture by Leonardo da Vinci.

We are currently planning on 3 performances to be done at the United Methodist Church in Parkersburg on the following dates: (Subject to changes)

Palm Sunday 3:00 PM

Palm Sunday 7:00 PM

Maundy Thursday 7:30 PM

We are looking for 13 performers, plus a Narrator. Each performer will need to memorize approximately ¾ of page of script. The narrator will be reading from the script provided.

We would like assistance with the following items: Wardrobes, Make-up, Lighting (operating during the performance), Sound system operation, Stage arrangement, and Video taping.

Amy Truax is organizing the Music.

A FREE WILL OFFERING will be taken and provided to the Local Food Pantry.

We are currently planning on 3-4 rehearsals plus 1 dress rehearsal on April 8th Rehearsals will be two weeks before performance, however, we probably need to assign the speaking parts when people agree to do it so they can work on memorizing their part. (Exact Dates and time to be determined)

Please contact either Neal Schrage (319) 830-6711, schragen66@gmail.com or Amy Truax (319) 346-9853 ajtruax@aol.com if you can help in any way.

Aplington/Parkersburg Food Pantry

Just a reminder to all church members. The A/P Food Pantry is always in need of donated products for the pantry: personal care products, canned fruits and vegetables, boxed mixes, laundry detergent, bar soap as well as cash donations. Megan Kalkwarf and Sandy Cox are the new pantry coordinators. I am still serving the pantry as treasurer. I will gladly take donations from our church to the pantry. There continues to be a pantry donation box in the entryway of our church. The mission of the pantry is to help those in need. There is still a great need in our two communities and surrounding area. Our local churches, civic organizations, schools and individuals are our greatest assets. Please keep this local mission in your prayers.
