Butler County Disaster Recovery

There are many Butler County homeowners still recovering from the floods of last fall. We are teaming up with the Butler County Disaster Recovery by volunteering to help a homeowner with some work putting up drywall, hanging doors and possibly some trim work. All materials are furnished, we just need volunteers for 2 Saturdays in June- June 3rd and June 10th. Our Mission Committee is looking for volunteers to help on either of these mornings. Please sign up by May 15th so we can get tools and work organized. The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the hallway. Thank you!

APW Salad Supper & Entertainment

The APW Ladies Salad Supper is this week on Thursday night, April 27th. The program “Changes in Time, Color and Taste” will be given by LaVonne Lawton. She will give a quilt presentation from her personal collection of quilts. We hope you can come and enjoy the food and the colorful quilts. Bring a friend.

Outreach People Needed

The Outreach Committee has opportunities for you to make new friends and influence people - we’re looking for a few good men/women! We help decorate the float for the Aplington Day’s Parade, help out with movies and picnics, hopefully put on the Nativity at Christmas, and host the Men’s Soup Supper. Talk to Gigi, Mel, Judy, Robbie, or Bill, if you’re willing to join in the fun!

MOVIE NIGHT

There will be a free movie on Sunday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. The movie is "Risen". Popcorn and Rooter floats will be served! Come join in the fun at the Aplington Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

CONGRATULATIONS

Hats off to our graduating seniors in 2017. High school seniors are Nina Priske, Connor Ubben and Kaitlyn Mohwinkle. Good luck in your future plans.
